1 lb. (about 8 cups) of natural soap shavings for laundry in ziploc bag, with the addition of some borax powder.
To make laundry soap, I just throw a handful directly in the washing machine if I am using warm water. If using cold water, place shavings in a jar in advance, and cover with water, a few inches above the soap shavings. The soap and water will turn into a jelly-like consistency.
Use 1/4 c. of soap jelly per load.
This is the only laundry detergent I use personally, and it smells so good and natural!!
