California Poppy Tincture

California Poppy has been traditionally know to assist with issues relating to anxiety, insomnia and nervousness. We harvest the plant when it is in flower and use all parts of the plant (roots, leaves, and flowers) when tincturing.

It is tinctured in either gluten free, certified organic grain sugar cane alcohol or glycerin and sits for at least 6 weeks.

Our alcohol extraction rate used 75% proof alcohol with a 2:1 alcohol to fresh herbs ratio. Our California Poppy is certified organic.

Take 20 drops 3 times a day. Start in a low amount of drops before moving up to 30 then 40 drops. Do not take more than 40 drops.

It tastes earthy so you can add it to your tea, juice or water if you don’t like the taste. It doesn’t taste like strong alcohol.

We also offer a glycerite which is the same plant tincture but we used certified organic glycerin instead. It is very sweet like eating sugar. (Personally I think it is sweeter.) It won’t contain all the chemicals extracted by the alcohol but will still provide benefits. A glycerin is good for 2 years and good for children and adults who dislike alcohol.
